My Story
Hello! I'm Shelly Williams, and I'm a wedding officiant for the greater Kansas City, Missouri area. I am an ordained minister whose passion is helping couples have their dream wedding. In 1998, I officiated my first ceremony for friends. I was definitely very nervous to have such an important role. Fortunately, my anxiety was for nothing because it turned out to be a wonderful ceremony, and I was overwhelmed by the joy I felt being such an integral part of their special day. I assumed that would be a one-time experience, until I was asked to officiate for another ceremony a few months later. After my second ceremony, I was definitely hooked.
Now, 26 years later, I am so grateful to have officiated ceremonies for hundreds of people. Being a traveling officiant has given me the tremendous opportunity to see outdoor locations and indoor venues all over the greater Kansas City area.
Now I have put all of my experiences together to create the most lovely, intimate, and inexpensive walk-in elopement, small wedding, and event venue in the greater Kansas City area. I truly believe that every couple should have the opportunity to get married in a pretty venue that doesn't cost thousands of dollars or cause a lot of stress to book, and our charming venue in Claycomo offers exactly that.
