Wedded Bliss Ceremonies & Event Venue
Missouri Marriage License Information
Welcome! If you want to have your walk-in elopement or full wedding ceremony at Wedded Bliss Ceremonies & Event Venue, you will have to apply together for a marriage license in any Missouri county's Recorder of Deeds office.
A license applied for in any county in Missouri is valid for a ceremony that takes place anywhere in Missouri. For example, you may get your license in Clay County and have your ceremony in Clay County, Platte County, Jackson County, Cass County, or any other county in Missouri.
A marriage license is only valid for 30 days after it is issued. The license fee varies by county, but is usually around $50. Contact the Recorder of Deeds office where you plan to apply to find out their exact fee as well as what documentation they require.
You must bring your marriage license with you to your ceremony to be completed and signed by two witnesses and the officiant, and we will return it for you to the county Recorder of Deeds office where you applied for it to be recorded. If you plan to get married in a state other than Missouri, you will need to apply in that state for your license.
